My story

🎙️ "Meet Dorthon…" (Read in your best Christopher Walken voice) So here’s the thing… Dorthon—he’s a guy. A dog guy. He came struttin’ into the shelter—well, not struttin’. More like… stumbled in. On July 10th, 2025, to be exact. Like he was lookin’ for a sandwich… or maybe a purpose. We think he’s about 2 years old, but who’s countin’? Time is a construct, and Dorthon… he’s livin’ in the moment. Now—listen—he’s got this look. Like, "Hey! I don’t totally get what’s going on here… but I wanna. I really wanna." He’s a little shy at first, kinda like your cousin at karaoke night… but you give him a hot dog? Suddenly, boom!—he’s Frank Sinatra. The confidence, it just happens. He knows how to sit. He knows how to shake. He’s got moves. Not smooth moves… but, like, earnest ones. He tries. He tries so hard. And isn’t that what we all want? A friend who tries? And the heart—my goodness—the heart on this guy. It’s big. It’s soft. It's like a golden retriever wrote a love letter to the concept of loyalty and then wrapped it in fur. He just needs someone to show him the ropes. Tell him he’s doin’ a good job. Maybe toss a ball. Tell him he’s a good boy—because, spoiler alert: he is. He’s available for adoption, folks.
