My story

Meet Sorrel: The Sunshine Pup Ready to Complete Your Family!  Are you searching for a friend who is equal parts playful adventurer and professional cuddler? Meet Sorrel, a gorgeous 2-year-old, 21-pound mixed-breed girl whose capacity for joy is simply contagious. Rescued from the city, Sorrel is now thriving in her New Jersey foster home and is more than ready to find her forever family. Sorrel's love for people knows no bounds, especially when it comes to kids! Her signature move is an immediate, joyful roll-over, inviting the belly rubs and affection she adores. This goofy, attentive girl has a gentle soul wrapped in a playful spirit. She spends her days as a social superstar at a doggy daycare, so we believe she would love a canine sibling to romp around with, though she would also be happy soaking up all the attention as a solo dog. This clever girl is already mastering "sit" and is making fantastic strides with her house training. Sorrel is the perfect candidate for a family ready to continue her positive reinforcement training, turning learning into a wonderful bonding experience. She already walks beautifully on a leash, taking in the world with happy curiosity. Don't let her cozy couch snoozes fool you—while she's an expert-level cuddler, she gets the most hilarious bouts of "zoomies" that will have you laughing out loud. She truly offers the best of both worlds! Sorrel's Wishlist: A medium-to-active family (with or without kids) who enjoys both playtime and downtime. Continued structure and training to help her be the best dog she can be. A comfy spot on the couch reserved just for her! Sorrel isn't just a dog; she's the missing piece of your family puzzle, waiting to fill your home with laughter, loyalty, and love. This special girl is capturing hearts everywhere she goes, so don't hesitate! Apply to adopt Sorrel today. P.S. Sorrel has a spay appointment scheduled for August 21st at the ASPCA in Long Island City. If she is adopted before this date, her new family will be responsible for her transportation. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Will need to be neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Sorrell, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2473860##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sorrel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
