My story

~ I can live in a single family home. Condos considered.~ I may be willing to consider sharing my home with kids 12 years of age and older who are familiar with large and rambunctious dogs.~ I have not had much experience with cats or dogs but am willing to consider sharing my home with a furry friend.~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.~ I am a great dog with lots of potential. I need a family who has owned large and rambunctious dogs before.~ I am still learning and want to get off to a great start in my new home, so I will need to continue my training. (Obedience Training Required)Say hello to Dottie, a stunning white Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a body full of wiggles! Weighing in at 47.6 lbs and growing, this spayed female is on the lookout for her perfect match – someone who can keep up with her zoomies and her snuggles. Dottie`s higher energy makes her a fantastic companion for someone who leads an active lifestyle. If you’re into hiking, jogging, or just playing in the backyard for hours, Dottie’s your girl! While Dottie is always ready for her next adventure, she has a relatively low vocal level. And when all the fun and activities are over, she`ll all about curling up beside you for some quality snuggling time. Dottie knows the basics of house and crate training. And while she hasn`t lived with other animals before, she is willing to consider sharing her home with them. Dottie has only lived with adults, but could thrive with respectful kids 12 years of age and older who are familiar with big, bouncy dogs. Because Dottie is still learning how to handle her excitement, she can get jumpy and mouthy when overstimulated. She needs a home committed to continued positive reinforcement training (obedience training is required) and one that’s experienced with large, active dogs. Dotti`s ideal home includes a single-family home (condos considered), daily physical and mental exercise, and a dog experienced owner who can provide structure and guidance. Dottie is a bright, loving girl with so much potential and is looking for someone to match her enthusiasm for life and help her become the best version of herself. Fill out an adoption application today to learn more about Dottie from one of our adoption counselors!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dottie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
