My story

Meet Remi, a sweet young pup who is looking to find her human and her place in the world! Poor Remi was surrendered to the shelter due to having bloody stool- her owner could not afford medical care and didn't want to risk the other puppies in the home getting something potentially contagious. Since getting to the shelter Remi has been through a full medical screening and doesn't seem to have any noted illnesses. We haven't seen any blood in her stool in 5+ days! She is now ready for a rescue partner who can help to connect her with a forever hoe. Reach out to lifesaving@acctphilly.org if your rescue can help! Video: Remi plays: https://youtu.be/lkL_uzW4xGs Remi the sweet pup: https://youtu.be/dH9v2mfn-Cw Behavior Notes: Per Volunteer Behavior eval 8/11/25: Kennel Presentation: Such a sweet and excited young pup! Greeted me with a very wiggly body. Was a little bit difficult to leash just because she was jumping up on the door and I kept getting the leash caught in her paws. Had to use a very small loop to get around her head. Leash Skills: On leash she loves to prance and run forward as she’s a very energetic young girl. Sociability: Out in the play yard she loved to run around and explore all the smells, jumping up on me for affection and just need some training on how to contain her excitement. Very treat motivated and tried to sniff them out of my bag. She takes them gently out of your hand and sometimes knows sit. She is super affectionate and takes pets all over. In the volunteer office she was much calmer and explored the smells around, coming back to me for pets very frequently. Play: She showed some interest in chasing toys around and never seem to know how to fetch them back. Dog Interaction: Didn't witness anything Return to Kennel: Easily went back into her kennel and allowed me to reach in and take the leash off her neck. Color Level: Gave gold due to jumpiness Recommendations and considerations: Medical Notes: Vet Exam: Triage Exam 08/06/2025 | 4:04 pm Complete Examination By Amy McClain, CVT Subjective PC: O surrender for bloody stool Hx: Per O noticed blood in stool 5 days ago, has had some normal and abnormal stool since then.
