My story

Orie didn’t come to the shelter because anyone stopped loving her. She came because life got hard, her family had to move somewhere pets weren’t allowed, and she suddenly found herself in a crate, in a loud, unfamiliar place, wondering what happened. Despite the change, Orie remains pure sunshine. On leash, she’s easy to guide, light on her feet and full of joyful, puppy-like energy. And while the world is big and a little new right now, Orie’s heart knows exactly what it wants: closeness. Outside, she didn’t race to explore, she gently leaned into her friends lap instead, happy to soak up pets, praise, and love. Orie is still learning what toys are for, but she’ll gladly follow you across the yard with soft eyes and a wiggly body. She met another pup through the fence and wagged politely, calm and curious. This little one is gentle, affectionate, and wants to be near her people more than anything. Orie is the kind of dog who won’t just live in your home, she’ll live in your heart. She’s waiting patiently for someone to see her for who she truly is: not just a dog who lost her home, but a darling soul ready to find her forever. She was sitting calmly at the front of her kennel & was easy to leash and walked right to the door outside without issues. LEASH SKILLS: Orie is easy young, but easy to manage on her leash & walks well w minimal pulling. She is bouncy & playful. SOCIABILITY: Orie is a happy friendly pup. She allows handling all over while keeping a loose body and a wagging tail. She needed some encouragement to explore around the yard on her own as she was more interested in sitting in my lap than solid exploration. PLAY & TOYS: Orie is learning how to play. She’ll watch a toy as you toss it but has little interest in chasing. She will run around w her handler in the yard & follow you around DOG INTERACTION: We saw met fell puppy Eddie through the fence & she expressed calm interest with a wagging tail.
