My story

#A5709964 Meet Buddy , 2-year-old Akita mix with a show-stopping sable coat and a fluffy curly-Q tail that never stops wagging! This handsome guy is full of joyful energy, thanks to his young age and Akita roots, and he brings a playful, vibrant spark wherever he goes. He’s also a total lovebug - always down for belly rubs, cuddles, and soaking up your affection. Smart and independent, Buddy is potty trained, great on leash, and loves playing games like fetch to show off his athletic side and attentive nature. He’s also friendly with other dogs and could be the perfect little brother to any current pups you may already have. Ready to add some excitement, love, and a whole lotta fluff to your life? Buddy’s waiting to go home with you today!   -2 year old sable Akita mix -53 pound neutered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/29/25 as a stray -uniquely stunning sable coat, luxuriously thick and practically demanding some pets, plus a fluffy curly Q tail that's always swishing around with excitement -between both his young age and his Akita roots, Buddy's got a joyful streak of natural energy that truly makes him a delight to be around -deeply affectionate and loves, loves, loves belly rubs - content to cuddle close or flop over to soak up all your loving -also a smart cookie - curious and independent, great on leash, and potty trained, plus loves to play games like fetch, where he can show off his athleticism and attentive nature -friendly and social with other dogs, so could make a good little brother to other pups you may already have    BUDDY’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/8hTzq6_ch1o For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org     ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter.
