Sylvester tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes: Stretched on his side with paws reaching to the center of the room, Sylvester seems like a happy little puff of a cat. He very well might be, but shelter life is not his style and he's ready to explain why. Brought to us from a home with many other cats, Sylvester is reportedly friendly and outgoing with them as well as with people, but shelter life is full of new activity and Sylvester is someone who likely benefits from a slower approach. Our attempts to say hello and offer some pets are usually met with a resounding no, thank you and while he graciously watched me try to play with him, Sylvester elected to only watch. We think Sylvester has a lot to offer the world and only needs a little chance. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 10.9 Age: 12yrs 1mths 0wks
