My story

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Nash 🐾 Age: 20 months Weight: 120 lbs (aka ā€œlap dog in denialā€) Breed: Great Dane If you’ve ever dreamed of having a horse… but in dog form… and allowed in your living room… Nash might just be your guy! This big, handsome hunk of love is still a youngster at just under 2 years old — which means you get the perfect mix of goofy puppy energy and gentle giant sweetness. And here’s the thing — Nash is still growing! He may not get much taller, but he’ll be filling out into his full majestic Great Dane glory. Think ā€œcouch companionā€ meets ā€œgentle guardianā€ with a dash of goofball. Nash and his equally handsome brother, Salem, were surrendered to a local shelter when their owners faced serious health challenges. He’s handled the change like a champ, keeping his big heart wide open to people and other pups. This guy does great with other dogs and is friendly with adults and kids alike. Cats are still a mystery, but with his laid-back vibe, he may do just fine with slow introductions. šŸ’” Fun Fact: Nash had never been on a leash until arriving at the shelter. So yes — walks with him right now are part workout, part comedy show. But with patience, training, and maybe a pocketful of treats, he’s going to ace his leash game. Nash’s Perks: - Good with dogs and people of all sizes (even the small, sticky-fingered humans) - Housetrained - Up-to-date on vaccines - Moderate energy — perfect for a daily stroll followed by a nap the size of Texas - Big personality in an even bigger body — will happily keep your couch warm Nash is currently at a neighboring rescue, but we’ll gladly bring him into Hay Dude Rescue to complete his adoption. He’s ready to be your oversized shadow, adventure buddy, and all-around best friend. If you have a couch strong enough and a heart big enough, so he can snuggle right in...Nash may just be your new BFF. Apply today at haydudeequine.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nash, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
