My story

DOB: April 24, 2025 Shadow Heart is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Shadowheart may be shy when meeting new people, but once you earn her trust, she transforms into a non-stop purr machine. Beneath her initial nerves is a little sweetheart who craves love and affection. In just a few weeks with her foster mom, she’s gone from hiding away to greeting her at the door for cuddles. One of the quickest ways to Shadowheart’s heart is through her love of food—treats have been a big help in building her confidence. She shares a close bond with her sister, Karlach, often seeking her out for comfort when she’s feeling unsure, and the two can often be found playing together. Shadowheart would be thrilled to be adopted with Karlach, but she would also do well in a home with another young, confident, and friendly cat or kitten to help her continue coming out of her shell. Because she is still skittish, she would do best in a calm home without young children, though older, gentle kids could be a wonderful match. With patience and love, Shadowheart will reward her forever family with endless affection, a gentle spirit, and the sweetest purrs.
