My story

Meet Deuce! A female Domestic Shorthair tuxedo. 3 month old Deuce is slow to warm up to new faces and is happy to be independent. But once she knows you`re there to give her all the love and affection in the world, she`ll be your bestie. Deuce is a gorgeous girl with that uses slow blinks as her love language, once she trusts you, she`ll then curl up beside you like she’s known you forever.Deuce has a quiet confidence that makes her irresistible. She’s independent but affectionate, playful but poised. Whether you’re working from home or winding down after a long day, Deuce will be your loyal companion, always nearby with a gentle nudge or a soothing purr. Deuce was with a previous fosters and had a dog best friend, so would do well in a home with cats of dogs. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
