My story

August is more than just a beautiful Rottweiler—she`s a quiet warrior with a heart full of love waiting to be discovered.When August first came into our care, she had just been through a heartbreaking ordeal. Found wandering alone, she had clearly very recently given birth, her puppies nowhere in sight. Frightened and confused, she arrived at Animal Control unsure of the world around her. But thanks to the patience of our devoted staff and the gentle encouragement of our volunteers, August has slowly but surely learned that she is safe, cared for, and worthy of love.Now, August is starting to shine.She’s incredibly smart—she already knows how to sit, shake, and lie down! With consistency and care, we know she`ll pick up new skills quickly. She`s a big fan of treats (they`re the way to her heart!) and has shown wonderful manners when playing with other dogs.August would thrive in a calm, structured home where her adopter has experience with Rottweilers or other working breeds. She`s looking for someone who understands her breed’s unique needs—both mentally and physically—and who can commit to giving her regular exercise, ongoing training, and, most of all, unconditional love.Here’s what August needs in her forever home:A fenced-in yard where she can safely explore and playA home with no children under 14, an adopter with Rottweiler or large-breed experience. Patience, kindness, and a commitment to helping her continue to build confidenceAugust is up-to-date on all her vaccines and preventative care and will be available for foster-to-adopt until her spay procedure is complete.
