My story

Chrissie – Available for Adoption This is Chrissie. She was gifted to someone who should not have had a cat, let alone an impressionable older semi-feral kitten. When BFF learned that this individual had a new cat, we stepped in to get her fixed and vaccinated since there were no intentions to do so otherwise. She was returned to the elderly woman after we had Chrissie vetted and after about a month the woman stepped on her tail and Chrissie defended herself by lashing out at her. The woman became fearful and ran into her bathroom and threw items at Chrissie to get her away. She then called animal control who came to the home and said to give Chrissie a couple of days and should she continue to act the same, they would be more than happy to take her off her hands. Instead, the woman released the young cat outside. The cat clawed at the door to be let back in, but she refused. After a couple of nights outside and petrified, the woman did finally allow the cat back inside the home after the cat returned, scratching at the door to be let in. This woman has now since surrendered Chrissie to BFF and she is being cared for by us. Chrissie has come a long way since we’ve had her, but still could use someone who is patient as she was so traumatized. She also wasn’t taught proper cat etiquette and can swat at you if she isn’t getting enough attention. She loves to play, especially fetch. She loves to climb so would very much appreciate a home with a cat tree. Chrissie was just introduced to some friendly foster cats and she is enjoying them very much. Her ideal home would have a friendly cat or two to continue to teach her how to be a good indoor only kitty. Because she can still lash out, we wouldn’t want a home with any young children. Chrissie is approximately a year old, spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV and up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting her, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chrissie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
