My story

Meet Leilani – The Gentle Little Fighter Leilani’s start in life was far from gentle. At only five weeks old, she and her four siblings were heartlessly thrown out of their home and separated from their mother. Left in a yard scattered with cut-down trees, they were found starving, weak, and alone. A kind neighbor heard their desperate cries and brought them to Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue, where they finally received warmth, nourishment, and love. Among the litter, Leilani was the tiniest — barely half a pound — and she scared us with her refusal to eat. It took round-the-clock care, gentle encouragement, and endless cuddles to help her regain her strength. But this sweet girl responded with quiet determination, slowly blossoming into the healthy, thriving kitten she is today. Leilani has a tender, affectionate nature and loves nothing more than curling into your arms or resting her tiny head against your chest. Her purr is soft but steady — a sign of the trust she’s built and the love she’s ready to give. She enjoys gentle playtime and feels safest with the comfort of a feline friend by her side, ideally one of her siblings. After such a difficult beginning, Leilani is ready for a forever home where she will always be cherished, protected, and adored. In return, she will gift you with the purest kind of love — the love of a little survivor. We have dozens of cats and kittens available! All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.
