My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:2Seahorse is a 1-year-old, 64-pound sweetheart who’s shy at first but incredibly loving once he feels safe. With calm energy and a soft heart, this beautiful boy enjoys gentle pets, quiet walks, and close companionship. He’s been friendly and polite in doggy playgroups and may do well with a calm, confident dog buddy, or as a solo pup with dog friends. On a recent field trip, Seahorse explored the shoreline with quiet curiosity. Though nervous in the car and around strangers, he made big progress. He walked politely on leash, calmly passed bikes and joggers, and even climbed into the car on his own for the ride home. He’s learning the world isn’t so scary, one small step at a time! Seahorse is a gentle soul looking for love. He would thrive in a peaceful home with adopters who can help him build confidence and give him the stability he deserves.
