My story

Meet Megatron ACCT-A-228354! Megatron is an 8-month-old male who was brought in by animal protection officers along with two other dogs as a stray on 8/9. At the shelter, Megatron has appeared stress at times but finds comfort in his human handlers. Inside he has done some pacing and ‘exit searching’ but is happy to cuddle up to you and get pets. Megatron has met several dog friends while at ACCT and has enjoyed doggy playgroup. Come meet Megatron today! Sniffed the other dogs and tolerated being sniffed. Connected with Hannah- tail went to middle, loosely trotting and running together, soft and loose. Megatron is social with the handlers with tail low, ears back, soft eyes touched him all over his body, and when trying to check his teeth, he did a soft flip off of my hand off his muzzle and moved away.” Per volunteer 8/10: “Kennel presentation: Came towards the front of his kennel, low tail wags, loose body, ears back. Leash dodged a few times backing away before allowing the leash to go over his head. Took treats nicely. Leash skills: minimal pulling, walked well on leash and seems to be housebroken. Sociability: allowed all handling, loose body, small/ mid tail wags. Did do a little stress pacing in the room with me. Would jump up on me and curl into my lap for pets. In the room he took treats nicely out of my hands with no issues. Play and toys: no interest in toys, did not attempt play due to stress pacing in the room. returning to kennel, I had no issues right into his kennel and allowed to clip method. Color: experienced gold” Per APO: “Very sweet and bonded to his sisters.” Medical Notes: On 8/14 Megatron came down with an upper respiratory infection and was started on doxycycline. PCR tested negative for pneumovirus. Per an exam on 8/9: Megatron was found to be in good general health and was noted to be “Very friendly tolerated vaccines and micro chipping. P has a few marks, scabs, ect. most likely from play fighting with siblings” ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
