My story

Who's looking for a cutie pie to join their family? Molly is an approximately 2-3 year-old, 10-lb terrier/chihuahua mix with beautiful wire fur. She was surrendered in Texas due to no fault of her own. She is a wonderful little companion who is potty-trained and dog-friendly! She has not been tested with cats or kids but would probably be ok with respectful kids 10+. She is a princess who loves to be carried to her crate and then sleeps through the night in it. When crated during the day, she is sometimes vocal about her displeasure. She would do best with a very secure fenced yard (she can slip through the tiniest gaps!) In a secure yard, she loves to spend the day chasing the squirrels but should not be left unattended. She does pretty well on leashed walks and even potties on leash but she will stop frequently when overwhelmed by the myriad of noises and to make sure her people are still nearby. Given time and positive experiences, she'll likely walk more confidently on leash. She loves playing with soft toys, enjoys a little fetch, and she can be trusted to chew only her toys, not shoes nor furniture. If you have a free hand to pet her belly all day, then Molly is your girl. If you stop petting too soon, she'll nudge you gently to remind you she is ready for more scritches. She knows "sit" and is so ready to learn more cues.
