My story

Meet the lovely Lilly, a senior Pointer mix ready to live out her golden years in style! Lilly was surrendered to the BCSPCA when her original owner was no longer able to care for her, and since she stepped foot in our shelter she has stolen the hearts of everybody she meets. Every new person is met with a wagging tail, and she will gently paw at you to let you know she would like more pets, please! She is an affectionate girl, and would love nothing more than a relaxing home where she can curl up on a cozy bed next to her forever family. While Lilly has a lot of energy for a senior dog, but she does show her age in some stiffness in her joints. Potential adopters should be aware of the needs of senior dogs, and understand that while Lilly would love to join in on all of your adventures, her stamina isn't quite what it used to be. Her leash manners are fantastic, and a nice long walk with some breaks along the way is her favorite way to spend an afternoon. Lilly is fully housetrained, and is comfortable hanging out at home while her people are at work. She would be comfortable in a house or an apartment, but stairs may be a growing challenge for her as she continues to age. Lilly would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as she still enjoys chasing cats when she gets the chance, and after a negative experience with a dog a few years ago she is very wary of other dogs.
