My story

Name, age: Grumbleton, 10 monthsLikes: feather wand toy, crinklepompoms, being near you but not touching you, zoomiesDislikes: having her personal space invaded by humans or other catsWhat would be the ideal home? One that is sensitive to and respects her boundaries, has cozy nap spots near her humans, lots of play timeGood with other cats? Yes, but as long as the other cats give her spaceGood with dogs? unknownGood with children? No – will bite and swat when her subtle cues for space are ignoredPersonality: Very chatty, active, and spicy! Will purr and hiss at the same time! How long will it take to settle into a new environment? Might take a couple weeks, very fearful in new environments, needs lots of patience but has lots of love!Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? She will let you know when her boundaries aren’t respected. She provides a subtle cue in the tone of her meow when she is done with being pet or when she needs more space. She will sometimes instigate by following and attacking legs/feet when she wants something (some patience in stopping, walking slower, and/or talking gently to her tends to clear it up). She really loves playing and it’s a great way to get her energy out! She tends to pant when she’s active which is a perfect sign that it’s time to end the play session for a bit. She will often drag her toy around the home while meowing to show off her amazing huntress skills! If you think Grumbleton is the one for you - fill out an application today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Grumbleton, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
