My story

Meet Landon! This sweet 4-year-old, 18-pound guy came to us after a tough time on the streets. When he first arrived, his skin was infected and he carried a heavy weight of anxiety. But with lots of care and patience, his skin has healed, and he’s slowly but surely starting to show his true self.Landon is a little head-shy, especially with sudden movements, which hints at a rough past. But once he feels safe he reveals what a genuinely sweet and loving boy he is. It takes him a bit of time to decompress, but once he does, his gentle spirit always shines through.He does have a bit of an alpha streak when it comes to other dogs. He prefers one-on-one interactions rather than big groups, so a home with just one calm dog or no dogs at all would be best. If you have a dog already, a trial adoption could help make sure they’re a good match.Landon is still young and full of potential. He’s just beginning to find his footing and become comfortable in his own skin. What he needs most is a patient, understanding home willing to give him the time and love to truly blossom.
