My story

Meet Mikey! He is currently around 5.5 months old & was found in bad condition.  After 2 weeks in foster care, he has now healed, is utd on vaccines & neutered. We are now working on his socialization & that he is an inside dog& safe!!! Mikey has a lot to learn still, he is a diamond in the rough! As he's very food motivated, he listens well, learns fast& is eager to please his human. Whereas Mikey is currently fostered with kids aged 10 & 8, we recommend confident kids age 10 upwards for his forever family, as he is a strong boy& still learning manners. He will be a big boy!  Potty training is going well, when you stay on top of it and take him out regularly. He does not like being in a crate or being left alone,  we are working on that right now! Therefore he's looking for a family with someone working from home or home a lot! His adopter needs to understand that M needs time to adjust & learn in a new environment.  Despite being only young, his dominant trait is strong, so he needs to continue obedience training & needs a strong handler!!!! He currently lives with 2 big dogs & it took a few days to get him used to being around them. He's very much in their faces. A future canine sibling will have to be tolerant , dominant, but friendly! NO CATS OR LITTLE FLUFFIES! Mikey will complete his 3 week quarantime& stray hold end of August. He will be adoptable then     Adoption Day: August 16th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt.
