Looking for a cheerful companion with a zest for life? Meet August, a 9 month old, 22 pound, male Basenji mix. August is a happy, spirited pup who’s always ready for his next adventure! Whether it’s a hike in the woods, a trip to the park, or just a romp in the backyard, August brings his boundless energy and enthusiasm wherever he goes.This friendly guy is a social butterfly, he loves meeting new people and making friends, both two- and four-legged. August gets along great with other playful dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy or an active family that can keep up with his playful personality.If you`re looking for a fun-loving pup to join you on all of life’s adventures, August might just be your perfect match!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
