My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pistachio came to us after she was surrendered from a local breeding operation. She is a 6 year old Havanese type. We were told she's a purebred but she does look like there could be something else mixed in there. She's an absolute sweetheart who loves attention. She will be vet checked and spayed on Aug. 19th and her fee is $150. Pistachio might need a little basic training but keeps a clean kennel at the shelter. She's happy and eager to be with people. She will require some regular grooming. We do think she'd be okay with other dogs and older kids. We have no way of knowing about cats.  NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website,mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2025, 6:03 pm
