My story

*** Fergus is in a foster home. ***Fergus #19846: brown/black Scottish Fold mix, short hair, neut. male, born approx. 11/26/16 Cats: must be only catDogs: unknownChildren: tweens+BACKGROUND: Fergus was a beloved pet of his former guardian, but when she developed ever-worsening dementia and was no longer capable of caring for him we were contacted to ask if we could help him find another family to love.PERSONALITY: Fergus wants to be in the heart of the home: with you and in the middle of the action. To achieve this? Fergus will follow you around, hang out nearby, park on the back of the sofa so he can put his head on your shoulder, and he absolutely insists on being able to sleep with you at night. (His adopter shouldn’t be too light a sleeper, because he’s on the noisy side with his loud contented purr!) Fergus is a big boy but still fairly active: he chases balls with bells in them and adores his catnip banana. If you set up a hummingbird feeder he’ll monitor their activities with keen interest. While he needs a bit of acclimation time to a new place and he knows what he likes, settled-in Fergus is a very easy kitty to care for and love… truly a fantastic companion. COMPATIBILITY: Fergus disdains his own species and must be an only cat. We don’t know his thoughts on dogs. Respectful kids in their tweens and up or an adult home would suit him best.
