My story

Meet Ella Fitzgerald! A radiant almost seven-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently living in Carlsbad, CA, whose silver-gray fur and dazzling green eyes only hint at the soulful charm packed into her medium-sized, eleven-pound frame. Ella, known lovingly as “Ella Flop-Belly Fitzgerald”, is an indoor-only sweetheart with a flair for the dramatic and a heart full of love! One of her signature moves? Flopping right onto her back, belly exposed, paws curled just so, inviting you to join her in a cuddle session she clearly choreographed. She’s playful, expressive, and just a little bit theatrical (in the best way), especially when she’s parading around with her favorite stuffed bird toy, which she proudly presents like a treasured gift! Social and affectionate, Ella adores people and thrives in a calm, caring environment where she can be your constant companion. She’s not one to hide, unless things get a bit too loud or unfamiliar. While she's not skittish, she is attuned to her surroundings and may overgroom when feeling overwhelmed. But give her stability, gentle affection, and a little time to adjust, and you'll find yourself with a deeply bonded buddy who communicates through soft meows and soulful stares. Ella has lived alongside another cat before, but since that cat was dominant, she held back a bit. In her current blossomed state, Ella would likely do best in a quieter home, either as a cherished solo pet or with a mellow, non-dominant feline companion. Big dogs or high-energy environments might not be her cup of tea. In addition to being spayed and current on all her vaccinations, Ella is wonderfully low-maintenance. She does great on dry food alone. That said, don’t be surprised if she puts on her adorable “meat puppet” act in hopes of convincing you that a little wet food might be in order! With her quirky routines, loving nature, and an uncanny ability to sense when you need a cuddle, Ella isn’t just a cat, she’s a co-pilot for life’s daily adventures.
