My story

Hi, I’m Hwasa! 💛 I’m 11 months old, full of bright energy, good manners, and the kind of love that makes people smile. I may be young, but I’ve already learned so much — and now, I’m just waiting for the right family to share it all with. I love other dogs — like, really love them! I’m the kind of pup who happily greets new doggy friends and invites them to play. At the dog park, I’m friendly and polite, and I do great in multi-dog households. (Just a little heads up: if another dog and I go for the same treat at the same time, I might nip out of excitement — so it’s best to give us our snacks separately!) I live with a cat right now, and I’m totally chill about it. I don’t chase or bother them, though sometimes I’ll play-bow like I want to start a gentle game. I’m also polite with kids — I never jump or act pushy, and I always approach people with calm manners and a wagging tail. Walking with me is a breeze. I don’t pull on the leash, and I match your pace like we’re dancing together. I respond well to commands like “no” and “let’s go,” and I stay calm even when bikes, cars, or wheelchairs pass by. I might get a little excited if I see a bird or a cat on the move — I mean, who wouldn’t? — but I can be redirected with a gentle reminder. I don’t really struggle with separation anxiety. I used to whimper a little when my human left, but now I’m content to curl up on my bed and wait patiently. I prefer doing my business outside and keep things tidy during the day. I’m not super food-driven, so treats don’t always work as a training motivator — but don’t worry! I’m a fast learner and already know commands like “sit” and “wait.” I’m calm and gentle, and my vet and groomer always tell me what a good girl I am. I love people — especially people who love dogs. I can tell! When I want affection, I’ll tap you with my paw or nudge you with my nose in the sweetest way. I don’t like getting wet, but I do love toys that crinkle or move like a fishing pole. A few things to know about me: I’m super tolerant, which means I might not show it right away if I’m not feeling well — so I’ll need a family that keeps an eye on me and checks in often. Also, if I find small plastic bits or toys on the floor, I might try to chew them, so a tidy home is a safer home for me. But overall? I’m a peaceful, quiet soul. I enjoy resting on my bed, I sleep well on my own, and I’m comfortable during car rides and even when taking meds like Nexgard. I don’t need much — just a little love and someone who sees me for the smart, sweet, and steady companion I am. I’m ready when you are. Just say the word. I’ll be waiting with a wag and a warm heart. Love, Hwasa 🐾
