Rian

My story

Rian is a good mix of cuddly and independent! More of an observer, Rian likes to assess his surroundings before exploring. He’s brave like his brother,Hup, just in a more reserved way. Rian loves a good wrestle and is very playful. We like to say he’s sneaky crazy, he’s very quiet but plays really hard! He’s quieter than Hup, but adores his brother. Rian likes to cuddle beside you, but seems to always find a private place to nap. He’s also a bit more timid when it comes to pets and prefers occasional scratches. Although a little more shy, he is friendly with other cats and people! When he wants a cuddle he’ll approach you and will lay next to you as long as you let him!  Fun Fact: Rian loves feet! Protect your feet at all costs - Rian will track them down and (gently) tackle them as soon as you enter his space! Because socialization is key to his development, Rian will need to be adopted with his sibling, Hup, or placed in a home with another kitten close to his age (under 1.5 years). Having a feline friend to grow up with will help him continue to thrive as a confident, well-adjusted cat (read more about why kittens need to be in pairs at https://www.cat-advocate.com/post/2020/06/04/two-kittens-are-better-than-one).  Rian will do well in a house with other cats, calm children and while he hasn’t met any dogs yet, a mellow, cat-savvy pup introduced slowly might work well with his gentle nature.
