My story

Serene is a beautiful, loving 2 y/o grey tabby with opalescent eyes: golden with turquoise flecks, which can be easy to overlook! And that’s a little how this sweet little lady is: a quiet little violet, content and doesn’t ask for much. But for anyone who takes the time to appreciate her and give her attention, she soon blossoms into a purr machine and snuggly companion.  Serene was sadly abandoned when her family moved away, and over these last few months in foster care, she’s been a patient and very attentive mama to her litter of 5 kittens. As the little ones have grown more independent, Serene has been coming into her own. Reserved but trusting, she is easily coaxed into accepting belly rubs and snuggling happily in the crook of your arm.  After a slow introduction, Serene has done well with her canine foster sister. After just a couple weeks she has willingly snuggled on the bed and rolled onto her back with the dog right next to her, purring happily. They’ve even shared a few nose boops. She would likely prefer (and open up more quickly) in a quieter home with older, respectful kids. Healthy, happy and sweet Serene will steal your heart. She’s got many years left to live her best life giving all of her love to her forever family. All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Adult cats have an adoption fee of $150. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.  ##2377687##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Serene, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
