My story

This sweet, sensitive boy is doing his best in a world that feels overwhelming right now. The shelter is a scary place for him, but he’s slowly learning that kind people mean love, not fear. He walks well on leash, though his eyes stay alert, always watching for the next unexpected noise or movement. He’s gently accepting affection from staff and volunteers, showing glimpses of the loving dog he wants to be. In playgroups, he was calm and appropriate, though he’s not ready to let his silly side out just yet. What he truly needs is a quiet, patient home where he can finally exhale and feel safe enough to blossom. With time and love, this sweet boy will be someone’s most loyal and tender-hearted companion.He recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine.  He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
