My story

My foster writes: Meet Peeta - a 4-month-old bundle of love and fluff! This sweet girl is playful, curious, and absolutely adores chasing her toy balls, especially in the mornings and evenings when she's full of energy. During the day, she's all about relaxing by the window, watching birds, and soaking in the sun. Peeta has a super soft coat, a tiny, unique meow, and loves cuddling up close.What my friends at ACC say about me:I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.Peeta appears to be fearful and may not have had much human interaction up to this point. During the assessment she hissed, and fled from initial touch, remained tense, hissed, and would benefit from extra socialization. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who are preferably familiar with kitten socialization or are open to detailed counseling by staff. Contact with young children should be avoided or done under strict supervision to prevent provoking a fear response, further delaying socialization.I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.
