My story

Poppy is one of the sweetest, most well-mannered girls we’ve ever had the pleasure of fostering. Estimated to be around 8–10 months old, she’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and gentle affection. While her exact breed is a mystery, a little AI sleuthing suggests she may have a blend of German Shepherd, Husky, Terrier, or Collie — whatever the mix, it’s pure perfection! Poppy is a medium-sized dog, and we don’t expect her to get much bigger. She LOVES kids and other dogs! When we first met her, all three of my kids (ages 9, 7, & 7) knelt down to greet her, and she immediately showered them with kisses, leaning in close as if she’d known them forever. This was right after a long, stressful transport from Texas — proof of her loving and trusting nature. She’s had a rough start to life, spending much of it in a shelter, being bounced around, and even adopted once only to be abandoned again. We can’t imagine why — she is truly such a gem! She’s respectful of other dogs, loves romping around with our two large resident pups, and fits in beautifully with everyone she meets. On top of all that sweetness, Poppy is crate trained and appears to be potty trained — the full package! She’s fully vetted, healthy, and ready for her forever family. Poppy is just waiting for someone to see what we see — a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy to every single day. Could that be you? 🐾❤️ Poppy is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, dewormed and 4DX Negative.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Poppy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
