My story

Meet Piper!! Piper is a playful five month old, 12 lb cavapoo who loves kisses and cuddles and being close to her people. Her superpower is her smile! When she’s happy, which is most of the time, she just smiles and wags her tail. She has long legs and inquisitive eyebrows. She loves to snuggle up to you and just be held - she’s a lovebug! She gives lots of kisses and gets along well with other dogs and kids. She’s not been around a cat yet, but we think she’d be fine with one. While Piper is curious to learn about the world around her, she is skittish and is startled by loud noises and sudden movements. Once she’s comfortable in her environment, she’s ready to play and have fun!! She loves being outside but is learning to walk on a leash - this is definitely a growth area for her! In terms of house training, Piper uses pee pads since leash walking is a work in progress, but we are confident that with time and patience, she will figure it out. She is not afraid to use her voice to announce a new person, animal, or noise in her life. But it’s not incessant. She’s just letting you know she noticed something new. Some of her favorite things are playing with soft toys, chewing on rawhide sticks, getting snuggles and ear scratches, and of course playing! Her adoption fee is $450.00. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
