My story

Meet the sweetest and most joyous dog imaginable! It’s Cedric and he is a yellow Lab/Retriever mix. He is 1 yr old and weighs 68lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/2 as a stray. Cedric is such a charming and lovable fellow and he immediately won my heart! He walks beautifully on a leash. He has a real zest for living and looks to be smiling in his pictures. He has a moderate activity level, is well behaved, compliant, active and alert. He does jump on you gently to get your attention, but not consistently. He could doubtless be taught quickly to not do this. He is friendly, pleasant, seeks out attention and likes to be petted and loved on. He wants to stay close to a human friend. He likes treats and will take them politely. Yet all this great pup has endured out on his own, he is a sweet boy has a vivacious and engaging spirit. Cedric would make a devoted and committed companion, and the hope is that someone will rescue or adopt him and give him the life he deserves.
