My story

Sweet Alani is putting on a brave face but her heart still hurts. She wonders how she wound up in a strange place and what happened to the people she grew up with. After living most of her life in a home, she was brought to the shelter when the only family she knew moved and decided to leave her behind. She is warming up to regular volunteers but is very nervous and unsure about her current situation.Alani is a sensitive, quiet, 4-year-old girl with soft brown eyes and an endearing smile. Her long ears summon images of her as a little puppy. Her small hopeful face framed by floppy golden flaps. Alani would like to go back to the days when harmony existed and she had peace of mind. Days when she believed in people for safety, security and love. Alani is comfortable with those who approach her slowly and do not overwhelm her. She rushes on walks when she’s scared but does well with an experienced person who provides guidance. Alani is looking for a calm home with someone patient who will allow her to gradually decompress. She needs an attentive person who is tender but strong enough to keep her on solid ground when she wavers. If you can give precious Alani the lifelong devotion and love she deserves and would like to prove that true family is forever, please come meet her any day of the week from 11-5:30pm.Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions @nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160
