My story

Meet Ashley! This black and white adolescent came in with her sister Mary-Kate as a product of an accidental litter. They were described by their previous guardians as playful and affectionate with people. Ashley could be adopted separately from Mary Kate or could go to a home with Mary Kate for a family looking to adopt a couple of kitties! They have been in a home with children and have coexisted successfully. Ashley`s adoption fee has been reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter`s eyes towards often overlooked black cats (or partially black cats) in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
