My story

You know that old saying that tabbies come in twos? Enter Evie- the grey half of this pair of standard issue kittens  . Evie (and her brother Singer) are a fantastic pair of bottle babies (ie. kittens who lost their mama very early life and have now imprinted on all of humanity like baby ducks) who are ready to invade your life with an irresistable combination of cuddles and mischief. Evie is a bold little girl with an indomitable spirit and a Teutonic dedication to life's routines. Evie will always greet you with a cuddle, a purr, and deep, meaningful eye contact. If your face cannot be reached, she will sit by your feet and wait for you to notice her. If you fail, she will climb your pants (I hope you are wearing pants) so this important ritual can commence. Greetings are followed by meal time during which she will share with her brother Singer and no one else. Interlopers are met with ineffectual growls though if this fails, she will grudgingly share the communal bowl. Evie believes in the virtues of physical activity and approaches playtime with an industrious zeal. Evie is queen of climbing trees (and queen in general) and is no stranger to kitten wrestling smackdowns. She also believes that wand toys have slightly mystical qualities and should be pursued at all costs. Finally when it comes time to rest, Evie does not believe in sleeping alone. She prefers her naps in cat beds (NOT boxes) with Singer and her longer nighttimes rests with humans on their chests.  Evie's routines are regularly disrupted by her brother, Singer! These kittens can adjust to just about any home and would do great with children, first time cat owners, and likely even a dog with proper introductions. This irresistable pair will be at Petco in Evergreen Park THIS Saturday (8/2) 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for an adoption pop-up!
