Whether you're reading, watching TV, working from home, or just lounging, Shimmer is happy to settle in for a cozy cuddle session. She’s the perfect companion for anyone looking for a true lap cat. She’s easygoing and would do well in a home with or without other cats. In her current foster home, she coexists peacefully with the resident cat, though they mostly ignore each other. Shimmer would also do well in a home with cat-savvy children. This adorable, snuggly, and silly little goofball will thrive in any home with plenty of people around to give her lots of love and attention. One of her foster mom’s favorite stories? The time Shimmer accidentally dipped her long tail in her water bowl and then smacked her foster mom with it—completely unaware that it was wet! She’s never been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed…but she’s so dang cute her silly moments just make her cuter! Shimmer is a mix of needy and independent, alternating between curling up in your lap for endless pets and wandering off to discover new hiding spots. Her unique superpower? Shifting positions while sitting on you without ever actually getting up—she’s figured out that if she stays put, you stay put too! While her top priority is definitely snuggles, Shimmer also likes to play! You can often find her batting around her toy mice or running through cat tunnels and darting up the cat tree.
