My story

Looking for a dog that’s equal parts genius, weirdo, and cuddle bug? Meet Dexter. At 9 months old, Dexter already knows how to sit (because he’s a prodigy), is working on “lay down” (he’s getting to it), and absolutely insists on having his own personal space—preferably a kennel stocked with all his stolen treasures. He’s basically a toddler with better reflexes and more dramatic flair. Dexter is an independent dude who marches to the beat of his own squeaky toy. He’s cool with cats, chill with dogs, and really just wants you to leave his snacks alone. Speaking of snacks—do not leave food unattended unless you’re ready to witness an elite-level heist. This boy is driven. Like, "Mission: Impossible but with bacon" driven. Despite his I-do-what-I-want energy, Dexter still melts into a puddle for cuddles when he feels like it. He’s the perfect combo of aloof and affectionate. Basically, he’s the moody teen heartthrob of the dog world—but with more fur and less angst. Our adoptions are done on a first come first service basis unless a hold is placed on the pet(s).  The hold is for up to 7 days and may be done when the Adoption Contract is submitted.  You may place a hold by paying the Hold Fee of $25 per pet.  The Hold Fee of $25 is Non-Refundable and will be in addition to the Adoption Fee.  You may instead pay the full Adoption Fee which will also hold the pet(s).  After 7 days, if the pet(s) have not been picked up, any fees paid will be forfeited and will be considered a donation to Hands 'N Paws Animal Assistance.  ##2477772##
