My story

Meet Moose, a smart and goofy 2-year-old Lab with a big heart and an even bigger personality! While he’s currently feeling a little overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle of the shelter, Moose is more than ready to burst out of here and into the loving arms of his forever family.Moose’s previous owner shared so many wonderful things about him—he’s completely house trained, knows a variety of commands like sit, stay, come, spin (and more!), and absolutely loves toys of all kinds. He enjoys snuggling, peeking out the window, going for walks and runs, and learning new tricks. This clever boy is a total smarty pants who thrives on fun and connection.Moose is also a great passenger—he loves car rides and watching the world go by (though he may let out a few excited whines!). He walks nicely on a gentle leader and doesn’t bark much, but he is very devoted and sometimes gets a little anxious when his people leave. He just needs a patient, understanding home that can give him the reassurance and consistency he needs to feel safe and secure. And yes, sometimes Moose’s curiosity gets the best of him—especially when something looks a little too much like a dog toy—but with continued guidance and practice, he’s sure to get the hang of it.Moose would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match.
