~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: She was successfully treated for heartworms. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Meet Gemma: A Heart Full of Potential! Hello there! I'm Gemma, a sweet and shy girl of about 7 years old. Though I may start off timid, I've been on an incredible journey toward building trust with humans over the past year, and I’m ready to find my forever home! I thrive in cozy, safe spaces, especially with my comfy bed in a quiet corner. While I’m potty trained, I can get a bit spooked when I’m anxious, leading to the occasional “nervous incident.” But don’t worry, I’m working on it! What I truly adore are car rides, playtime with other dogs, and the delicious moments that come with meal time! I’m looking for a compassionate and patient partner who will help me settle into a new routine at my own pace. With a little tender encouragement, you'll find that I can be your cuddly companion on the couch. If you’re ready to take tiny steps with me, I promise to reward your patience with a heart full of love and loyalty.
