My story

Meet Sugar, the beautiful girl who is as sweet as her name! She loves cuddles and taking naps. Sugar has been at the shelter for several months due to on-going medical challenges, but she is finally ready to find her new home! She is still working on her weight loss journey, which will continue to make her overall health better. She does need daily medications and a special diet. Sugar likes some other dogs but not all—and we’d think she would be content as your one and only. Sugar hasn’t lived with cats or small animals before, so she we are not sure how she will react. We think she would likely do well with older children. Sugar may also show some stranger reactivity, so ongoing training and confidence building will be key to helping her feel safe and secure in her new home.
