My story

Garrus is a handsome, well mannered 4 year old 75 pound German Shepherd mix that comes knowing everything about living in a family home. He is a graduate of the Canine Good Citizen class and knows several training cues. He has had all the best in love, training and vet care. He is, surprisingly, mostly low energy beyond short excitable bursts, and will hide his ball when he wants to return to curling up beside you. :) This good boy is fostered in Vancouver, WA. He needs a home quickly, as his owners are losing theirs and cannot find any way to keep him. He has been on a Banfield plan, so he has had all the best in vet care: he is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and is scheduled for a second dental which will be covered. Garrus comes with his 4 x 4 metal crate, his beds, food bowls, balls, leash and collar, brush, any remaining food. His adoption fee is $200. Garrus, the full story: loves people over everything else overall a low energy lug, though has short burst of energy over his ball, meeting new beings. He quickly returns to laying on the couch or curling up by his person. enjoys chasing his ball in the yard for short bursts. He will hide his ball to go back to curling up. house trained crate trained good with large dogs, initially excitable upon meeting Not a barker aside from alert barking when someone comes to the door. May knock small kids over accidentally, so best with older kids/teens Can be excited in public over wanting to meet dogs and humans. Knows sit, stay, down, come. Loves to ride in the car. Goes to sleep on his own in his crate if his humans stay up past his bedtime. Garrus lives separated with a cat that he would otherwise chase. He could live with a medium to large dog, but no small animals due to prey drive. He has not harmed a pet ever. A great home and must haves for Garrus include: 1. An owned home with full sized fenced yard or acreage. 2. Adopters who have big dog experience and are not gone long hours. Garrus is accustomed to a work from home person, but is fine home alone for reasonable periods of time. 3. People who treat their dogs as family members, will include Garrus in their fun activities and give him good vet care and nutrition. 4. A home with older kids/teens versus easily toppled littles. If you meet all above criteria, don't miss out on this great guy who is a known quantity! To inquire: pleas email: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com. Include: Information about you, how Garrus will fit into your life, your number so that we may call you. Even better, complete an application via tablet or computer and we will reply quickly: https://forms.gle/aihFELHPhoKJ9u2E6

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Garrus, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
