My story

Meet Bo, a 3-year-old, 54 lb pup who’s the perfect mix of playful and sweet. He’s full of personality, loves to have fun, and melts into a snuggly companion once he’s had a chance to get his energy out. Bo is excited to start his day—he may jump and try to grab the leash at first, but once it’s on he’s ready to go! On walks, he pulls a little here and there, but it’s mild to moderate at most, and he settles into a nice rhythm once his initial excitement passes. He also goes potty right away outside, making him a breeze to take on outings. This fun boy loves toys and playing fetch—he’ll bring the ball back and even trade favorites with you. He can be a little mouthy or snatchy with toys and treats at first, but he’s very redirectable with a simple “sit” and quickly remembers his manners. He already knows sit, loves his treats, and seems to enjoy the water too! Bo was also excellent for his bath at All Pets Considered, proving he’s as easygoing as he is fun. When meeting new people, Bo greets them with a wiggly, loose body and loves leaning in for affection. He showed positive interest in other dogs in public—wagging, loose body language, and wanting to say hello, even whining a little when he couldn’t. Out on adventures, he’s curious, tentative, and loves to sniff and explore. After playtime and exploring, Bo is all about snuggles. He curled up in the backseat during his Dog’s Day Out and snoozed happily, showing just how affectionate and easygoing he can be once relaxed. Bo is the best of both worlds—playful, curious, and fun, yet affectionate, gentle, and snuggly when the day winds down. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and love into his forever home. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bo , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
