He had his hackles raised and a high flagging tail. Once he was in the yard his tail remained high and wagging with wide eyes. He started loosened up with time as he curiously sniffed around the yard. he was super playful in the yard with the other dogs and started engaging in chase play. he was over corrected by another dog and moved away as the dog began chasing him. he was very tolerant and even jumped up to greet the handler in the yard.” On 8/1 staff noted: “According to finder did good with their kids” Per staff 7/31: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Fasa was on his bed with wide eyes and began huffing and hard barking at me. i opened the kennel door slightly as he stayed standing on his bed. he did some low growls and continued to huff as i tossed some meaty treats in. i made a trail and he began eating them closer to me. i offered my hand out and his body got tense so i pulled away. i threw the leash for him to sniff and he was startled by it. i threw a lasso and once secured kept the door wide open to give him space. he peeked his head out with a tight mouth and wide worried eyes. he wouldn't come out fully so i sued some leash pressure. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally, stuck by me in an almost heel, kept looking up for reassurance. SOCIABILITY : In the room he had an immediate loose body with me and was very social, rubbing all over my legs and arms. he solicited for affection and sat on my feet as another handler approached from a distance away. he began huffing at her as she came closer and backed himself into me, looking up for reassurance. he continued this until i gave her some treats to give. he was still glued to me but took treats from her periodically. the other handler crouched down and slowly continued giving treats while he took some. repeating this process he gave some low tail was and curiously approached her face, sniffing it and soliciting for pts. he was super loose and wiggly, jumping up, playful puppy behavior. he was still nervous but with more time opened up into this super loose and cuddly puppy. he allowed all handling from us both and knew sit, taking treats very gently. PLAY & TOYS: running away from toys, huffing DOG INTERACTION: curiously approached 2 medium to small dogs with a lowered body and wide eyes. sniffed them, huffed as they licked his face. he was unsure and ran away from them. RETURNING TO KENNEL: He hopped right into the kennel. COLOR LEVEL: Blue Per staff 7/30: “baring teeth at the front, hard barking and growling when i put my hand up.” The finder had Fasa for 2 weeks and noted, “Very playful shows no sign of aggression at all. Kept trying to get to female dog. Good on leash, needs to warm up with strangers and then good with them. Good with children and dogs, sniffed cat but was not aggressive, just showed interest. Medical Notes: On 8/6: Fasa was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. The PCR results are pending. Per an exam on 8/5: “Visited cageside to assess for adjustment/extension of behavior medication. Assessment: Fasa was curled up on bed when I approached. Seemed nervous when I approached but came up when I called her over with soft eyes, relaxed body, and low wagging tail. Gave some kisses through the bars and sat nicely at front of kennel Per an exam on 7/30: “Flagged during assessment for behavioral medication.
