Winky

My story

Winky is a beautiful white coated blue eyed senior gal who is at least 10 years old but could be as old as 15. She is in a foster home in Kulpsville by Fischer's park. She is looking or a nice quiet home to be the one and only pet where she can enjoy lounging on her hoomans lap while getting all the pets! She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and uses the litter box. Winky was originally a stray who showed up on a lady's deck with an injured eye. Winky was taken to one of our wonderful Veterinarians and we quickly learned that Winky was not a feral cat and was 'making biscuits' and purring immediately when pet! It was originally thought that Winky would need to have her eye removed due to the terrible ulcer she had. She also had necrotic ear tips of unknown origin. The Veterinarian came up with treatment plan for her eye and ears and thankfully her eye has completely healed so she will not be a one eyed cat with a permanent Wink! She does have a scar on her eye and it's not known how well she can see out of that eye though but she can definitely see something!. The vet is unsure if her ear tips will ever heal completely but there is no more necrotic tissue on them now! She will need ongoing treatment for her ear tips which is currently just a rotation of petroleum jelly and antibiotic ointment to prevent them from drying up and becoming dead tissue again. She doesn't particularly care for other cats and will growl/swat at them which makes me wonder if another cat is what her eye injury was from. She also swats at the dogs in her foster home too so she'd do best as an only pet. If you're looking for a nice senior lap cat to be your one and only apply for Winky today!
