My story

IDGSR Welcomes Luca into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Luca and I'm a handsome 2.5yr old long-hair male German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 2.4yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (12+) Dogs - good with other large dogs Cats - CAT FRIENDLY!! Training - could use an obedience refresher 1. My current owner is experiencing some health problems and can no longer care for me, they want me to go to the best new home, I hope it's with you! 2. I am a BIG boy! I need to lose about 20lbs so if you are looking to get in shape, I'll be right there with you doing the same. I need exercise and stimulation. 3. I am CAT FRIENDLY!! I heard this is a big deal for guys like me. If you have kitties in your home, we will get along just fine. 4. I can walk nicely on a leash, I know the commands 'sit', 'come', 'down', 'leave it', and 'stay'. It would probably be good to do an obedience refresher, it will help us bond! 5. I have long beautiful hair and need to be groomed regularly so I don't get tangles. If you aren't prepared to consistent grooming, please check out the other adoptable dogs. 6. I am a sweet giant boy. I have a lot of love to give and want to live my life to the fullest. If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
