My story

Meet Tommy: The Cuuuutest Husky Baby Looking for a Forever Home! Little 9 month old Tommy spent about a month at the shelter before leaving for foster care. He was gentle but nervous at the shelter and would do what we call “pancaking,” meaning he would lay down instead of walk on the leash. He was nervous with people but magic with other dogs. Out in play groups he would mingle and play and lay down right next to another dog in the shade when he was tuckered out. It was clear this gorgeous little baby hadn’t had many interactions in the real world, and thanks to some amazing fosters we were able to get him out of the shelter and into a home environment. In foster, Tommy is a dream. He loves to play with his foster brother, another sweet and sensitive young male dog. He winds down by cuddling as close as possible to his dog buddy. He is quickly learning all of the skills he needs to be a dog out in the real world including crate training, house training, and leash skills (no more pancaking!). Though he may be able to be an only dog, we believe Tommy would really thrive in a home with at least one other social dog. As he’s still a young boy, we’re looking for his forever family to offer him structure and guidance as he continues to grow into a wonderful guy. What You Should Know About Tommy: -Dreamboat, blue-eyed, dog magic. -Still young, moldable, needs structure as well as time and space to warm up to new people. -Would be an excellent companion in a home with another dog that can help little Tommy to learn and grow.
