My story

Saddle up and meet Saddle — a friendly 5-year-old boy who’s ready to ride off into the sunset with his forever family! This sweet guy is still settling in, so we’re continuing to learn more about his likes, personality traits, and favorite treats, but he’s already showing signs of being an incredible companion. As we get to know Saddle better, we’ll be sure to update his bio with all the special things that make him one of a kind — but don’t wait! Come meet this charming cowboy today and see if he’s the perfect partner for your next adventure. Saddle would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet him!Saddle was able to go on a Dog Day Out and here is what they said, `I have done Dog Day Out a few times and this has been the best doggie so far. First meeting him, he welcomed my husband and I. He was very excited to go out. Saddle was well-mannered and never pulled on the leash during our walk. He was a trooper as it was a pretty long walk. If I was looking to adopt, this would be my pup. Good medium sized, sweet, loving boy.`On another Day Out, `The shelter let me know before we left that he might be a little shy of strangers, but as soon as he was out of his kennel, he wanted to meet everybody that we walked by. We walked around Zona Rosa for a bit and then we went on a car ride to a local trail. He did great in the car. As soon as I opened the door he jumped into the passenger seat and sat down and stayed there the entire car ride. Saddle is a curious boy. When we were walking the trail we stopped to sniff so many spots. When I gave him treats he was very gentle taking them out of my hand. I then took him to my parents house where we hung out in the front yard and he met my siblings age 5-18. He did so well with all of them. He just wanted to be petted and loved on. During his time with me Saddle was also very loyal. Anytime that I would stop walking he would come up and stand next to me and wait for me to keep going. He`s a great companion for walks or just to snuggle up and cuddle. He truly does just want to be everybody`s best friend.`Saddle is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Saddle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
