My story

Hi! My name is Bear! I prefer to be called Baby Bear! No one knows what happened to my parents, but they think I was born about 5/13/25, and that I look like a Labrador/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. I can be a little shy at first; but I love to be held and will be your sweetest boy. When you play ball with me, I’ll bring it back to you and sit by your feet to go again. I'm always down for a chewy! I'm learning to ring bells to go outside to go potty. I love other dogs and I love to explore. I think cats and kids are also fun to play with, after I have a chance to get used to them. I’m very funny and have a lot of personality once I warm up to you! It doesn’t take long….oh, and did I say I love to give kisses, snuggle, and be held? I’ll sit up on the couch with you to watch TV and cuddle. My favorite thing is to float in a pool--just look at me relaxing! ***PLEASE NOTE*** This pup has not yet been altered and requires an extra $100 spay/neuter deposit. JCAPL will pay for the procedure at a partner clinic and once completed, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter. However, a non-local adopter is required to pay for the spay/neuter at their own veterinarian by a specific date. After proof of the procedure is provided, $50 of the adoption fee will be refunded with the deposit. *** Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in.
