Pet Location:Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I get along best with small dogs who like to coexist with me! - I will make a great companion in a variety of homes.- Staff and volunteers noticed I keep my kennel clean. While this doesn’t guarantee I am house-trained, I will most likely be easier to train if I am kept to a schedule. - I love to stick close to people and get cuddles!My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. Hi there, I’m Hippo! I might be the cutest, sweetest dog you’ve ever met. I love to be near my people, leaning in as close as possible for maximum affection and love. I hope you like that about me! I hope you want to be with me, too. I’m easygoing and loving, yet I also have a playful side as I joyfully wag my tail around in circles like a helicopter. I’m certain that I will make you smile at my silly antics every day. I am just a great dog who needs a home. It’s as simple as that.I’m 5 years old, right in the prime of my life, with gentle, soulful eyes that will melt your heart, beautiful markings on my fur, and a lovely, delightful personality. I think I’m even already housebroken. I keep my kennel area very clean and I know to go to the bathroom when I get outside. Please stay patient with me as I get settled in with you, though. I’ll need to spend a little time learning my new routine. I came to Wayside as a stray. It was a tough life out there all on my own. I’m happy to be safe and cared for now, and I’m not shy about letting everyone know how grateful I am for the kindness and love they’re giving me. Still, what I really need and what I dream about is a home and family of my very own. That’s where you come in!I love getting as much attention as possible from the volunteers! When they stop by to spend time with me, I’m quick to show them my sweet and snuggly side. I’m happy to sit quietly for pets and belly rubs. I like to play, too, and my toys make me happy and excited. Sometimes I get the zoomies when I see my toys. I’m an adorable and sturdy gal who never has a bad day. I love delicious treats, which I am happy to sit for, and I promise to take them gently from your hand. I’ll be happy to participate in additional training. I respond well to positive reinforcement, so if you praise and encourage me when I’m a good girl, I’ll quickly learn what you expect from me.I enjoy going for w
