My story

ABOUT BLUE Meet our perfect pittie mix man, Blue! This handsome guy came to HAP after his owners had to move abroad and couldn’t take him along. Despite the big change, Blue has adjusted beautifully and continues to be a happy-go-lucky pup! Blue is house-trained, leash-trained, crate-trained, well-mannered, and knows basic commands. He’s been an absolute joy for our staff and volunteers, always ready for snuggles, playtime, or a nice walk. He has previously lived with both dogs and cats, and he appears to be social with other animals here at the shelter as well. Blue has also done well meeting small children. He’s completed basic training, and it truly shows, he’s a well-rounded, incredible dog who’s just missing a forever home to call his own! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
